Approach & Modalities
In my clinical practice, I work primarily from a relational approach, grounded in the belief that the connection between therapist and client is central to healing. Therapy is not just about techniques or strategies—it is about the relationship at its core. When you feel truly seen, it creates the safety needed for deeper work.
Alongside this relational focus, I integrate evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual’s needs and goals, including:
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy – Helps you explore patterns in thoughts, feelings, and relationships, often shaped by early experiences, so you can gain deeper self-awareness and insight into how these patterns influence your present life.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Helps you notice unhelpful thoughts, challenge them, and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding. Mindfulness skills support staying present and observing your thoughts without judgment.
Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) – Helps you recognize and understand the different “parts” of yourself, including those that hold fear, pain, or protect you. By connecting with your core Self and exploring what these parts are trying to protect, you can reduce internal conflict and strengthen self-compassion.
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) – Helps you face fears and anxiety-provoking situations gradually while resisting compulsive behaviors, so you can reduce avoidance, tolerate distress, and respond more effectively to everyday triggers.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – Encourages acceptance of difficult feelings and clarifies personal values, guiding meaningful action aligned with what matters most to you. ACT emphasizes self-compassion and helps you live a life that feels authentic.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – Teaches practical, skills-based strategies to improve emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness, helping you to respond more effectively to everyday triggers in real time.
Reproductive Therapy (Pregnancy & Postpartum Anxiety) – Supports mental and emotional well-being during pregnancy and after childbirth, addressing anxiety, mood changes, adjustment challenges, and the unique pressures of this life transition.
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) – Focuses on deeply experiencing and processing emotions within a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship, promoting healing and a sense of connection that undoes feelings of aloneness.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) – Uses gentle tapping on specific points combined with focused attention to help reduce emotional distress, release tension, and improve emotion regulation.
Narrative Therapy – Explores the stories you tell about yourself, how they formed, and how they reflect your experiences rather than who you truly are. From here, you can examine these stories, understand their influence, and thoughtfully rewrite them in ways that feel authentic and empowering.
